The Funeral Service

Traditionally, funeral homes and churches have been the funeral and memorial service gathering spot. We are experienced in formal funerals augmenting the New Orleans touch.

The trend today indicates more people are opting for a location and a ceremony that befits the lifestyle and personality of the person being remembered.

Memorial services often involve alternative locations including a beach or park, back yard, on the water, community center, art museum, theater, or a golf course.

After the interment:

A change in the tenor of the ceremony takes place after the deceased is interred and members of the procession say their final goodbye and, as they say in New Orleans,"cut the body loose". The music becomes more upbeat, often starting with a hymn or spiritual number played in a swinging fashion, frequently including "When the Saints Go Marching In" and "Didn't He Ramble".
